Hospitality House of Tulsa - Christmas Light Show - December 18, 2016
(Posted to YouTube on 12/18/2016)
This is an animated Christmas light show set to the song "Christmastime" by Michael W. Smith. This is the "show" for the Hospitality House's annual "Room in our Hearts, Room in the Inn" fundraiser -- which is actually making an "encore!" this year -- making it the first one ever to run more than just for one season (it was the show for 2015 as well; and we opted to dust it off and feature it again, partly because we all ended up with far less prep time with the lights this time around!).
i've tried out a couple of new/different ideas when filming the show this time around (and on that note, i had not made it back up to HHT last year to film this show -- so this year i was finally able to get it done!). The intent of the new/different approach to the footage was (hopefully) to instill the sense within the viewer of "being there" and watching the show in person -- without having to be out in the elements during this brutal cold snap we're having...! :P
Just for fun: this show, at just over 4 minutes in length, took approximately 20-30 hours (or more) to program.
Hospitality House of Tulsa - Christmas Light Show - December 27, 2014
(Posted to YouTube on 12/27/2014)
This is an animated christmas light show set to the song "Gloria" by Michael W. Smith. This is the "show" for the Hospitality House's annual "Room in our Hearts, Room in the Inn" fundraiser for this year (2014). It should be noted that the blue glittery "garland" strand of lights on the "light tree" was malfunctioning when i went up to HHT to shoot the video; that strand is NOT supposed to just always stay "on" ... but, it is what it is.
Just for fun: this show, at just over 5 minutes in length, took approximately 20-30 hours (or more) to program.
Hospitality House of Tulsa - Light Show - December 12, 2012
(Posted to YouTube on 12/12/2012)
This is the 2012 edition of the HHT's "Room in the Inn, Room in our Hearts" fund-raiser event. The light show is set to Trans Siberian Orchestra's "Nutrocker." Enjoy! :)
christofori's little light rig demo :) - March 14, 2012
(Posted to YouTube on 3/14/2012)
This is just a short one meant to demonstrate the lights in my rig. ;) i'm volunteering to create some (potential) tutorial/demo videos for a company's DMX lighting controller series (but, don't have their controller... yet...) and wanted to give them an idea what fixtures i have; also exhibits (in a not-too-much fasion) my video editing skillz.. :) The video lists credits for the music selection - i am *NOT* trying to take credit for the track..! It just literally happened to be one i found online, liked, and ran along with.
Here at last is this year's Christmas Light show for the Tulsa Hospitality House's 2011 "Room in the Inn, Room in our Hearts" event! This time I got a few seperate angles shot so I could cut away when a car drove in front or whatnot.. ;)
This was my third year working with HHT on their light show (which has become the sole light programming project lately, it seems..). Still, I thoroughly enjoy working on this project; light is VERY important to me for a great number of reasons..! I hope you enjoy this year's show..! :)
In his latest video blog, christofori explores how he takes unusual samples and uses them to create unique instruments for his songs! In this example, he takes a glass harp (wine glass played by rubbing ones wetted fingertip around the rim) and turns it into a spooky, ghost-like organ! Check it out, yo! ;)
Ahh! Here we have a somewhat 'hurried' recording of this year's Christmas Light show for the Tulsa Hospitality House's 2010 "Room in the Inn, Room in our Hearts" event! (I only say 'hurried' cause I recorded it in my car [and through my windshield] so as to get the audio; ideally I'd have set up outside... maybe next year!)
So, yeah! This is one of the 2 seasonal light programming projects I happilly create each year on a volunteer basis; and this was my second year working with HHT. Apart from practically doubling the number of individual lights adorning the facilities, we were able to significantly expand the control structures for the show system -- allowing several seperate objects to have multiple colors (not to mention that second light tree we added as well!). This year I also selected the music tracks to be animated and mastered the mix and info/testimonial tracks -- so yes, in other words: I really got to put pretty much all of myself into the show. It was a very neat experience for me as I realized along the way the awesomeness in my mind -- which is, the talents God enriched in me. How He gave me all the technical insight and understanding, and the patience and planning; not to mention pure, joy-driven and inspired creativity a la Christofori! :D
So check it out already. Now you can't come up with excuses for not getting over to HHT to watch the show for yourself! >:P
Finally -- at long last! The completed 'Focus Haze' effects reel! Sorry it took so long; but for an explanation check out my news post from July 27th. This video is my final bit of work with/for the band; future videos will be myself, off on my new direction. Also in case anyone was wondering: I have a different camcorder since leaving the band, so the focus haze issue is no more! I actually have mixed emotions about it; but when I remember the countless hours of effects processing time I sat through, I don't miss the focus haze at all..! ;) Anyway, hope you enjoy!
This preview is an example of what I call "Focus Haze" -- camcorder issue.. long story. ;) There's a bit about it on the comments of the video page over on YouTube if you wanna read into it briefly. Anyway, just figured I'd post what I'd been up to lately -- turning lemons into lemonaid. :)
You see, we couldn't use the video footage for anything when it would 'focus haze' -- so I'd been creative with it. Check out the video already..! (note: the subsequent blog entry above is the completed version..!)

At long last -- the feature on what was the Garage! This space, which we (when I was with my former band) had used -- and as you'll see, also customized -- over about a 15-month period, was where we had enjoyed the most diverse and entertaining array of features and things we could do. This place was off da hook! I will always remember it very fondly, lots of good memories happened there! Check it out!

Hey everybody! It had (at time of this posting) been a LONG time since I did anything here on my page, but I wanted to then take the time and share what has become a new (and regular) hobby of mine: videos! That's right folks, I'm becomming a video nut; and to kick off a new section on my site, I've showcased a preview of 'The Asylum' -- the ever-developing studio where I and my fellow (former) bandmates created loads of lovely choonage on a semi-regular basis!
This YouTube video, the first of ever more to come, is a short-and-sweet introduction to my former band's final hangout spot. I take viewers on a virtual "around the room" tour of the place, and spend a little time detailing some of the cool features we had built. 'The Asylum' is where we'd met to jam, record ideas, and develop material that would never be made into songs, as it happened. Enough detail -- check out the video now!
